Our Commitment

StartIn.ca is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including people with disabilities. We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and the Accessible Canada Act (ACA).

Accessibility Features

• Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy
• Keyboard navigation support throughout the site
• ARIA labels on interactive elements (search, menus, buttons)
• Sufficient color contrast ratios
• Responsive design for all screen sizes
• Alt text on images
• Focus indicators on interactive elements
• Multi-language support (English, Ukrainian, Spanish, Russian, French)

Known Limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, some content may have limitations:

• Some older content may not yet have complete alt text descriptions
• Interactive tools (CRS Calculator) are being continuously improved for screen reader compatibility
