My Story

Hi! My name is Stanislav, and I've been living in Canada for over 3 years now. When I first arrived, I was overwhelmed. Getting a SIN number, opening a bank account, understanding the healthcare system, figuring out taxes, finding housing — every single step felt like navigating a maze with no map.

I spent countless hours reading government websites, asking in Facebook groups, and learning through trial and error. I thought: there has to be a better way to organize all this information for newcomers.

Why I Built StartIn.ca

StartIn.ca is my personal information portal — a place where I compile everything I've learned about living in Canada into clear, organized guides. I'm not an immigration consultant or a lawyer. I'm just someone who went through the same process you're going through right now and wants to make it easier for others.

Every guide on this site comes from real experience, thorough research, and a genuine desire to help. I cover immigration pathways, provincial programs, city guides, banking, healthcare, taxes, job search, and everything else that newcomers need to know.
